Goals
Our goals are to provide solutions for the challenges our students face in their lives, through engaging presentations, by those with first-hand experience in creating and delivering these solutions. We expect students to leave the week with new knowledge and skills they can begin to apply immediately to their campus and community lives to generate success while in school, and to increase their chances of success after graduation.
Our programs bring proven, successful men and women from a variety of professions, together with emerging undergraduate leaders from dozens of campuses. The curriculum includes seven areas of personal and professional development:
Attitude – ethics, character, integrity and the importance of habits
Citizenship – duty, honor, patriotism, responsibility
Finance – budgeting, credit, free enterprise, investing and the power of money
Interpersonal Skills – etiquette, relationships, social consciousness
Leadership – vision, objectives, strategies, commitment, passion
Life Skills – negotiation, communications, networking, job search skills
Management – goal setting, team building, prioritization, timelines, execution
Optional break out sessions are held during the week, outside the classroom experience. These are smaller groups, allowing a more personal experience on topics of personal interest to students. Topics are offered, based on interest and need, but can include any number of personal, organizational and professional topics.
