Travel Agency Partner Selected
Posted By: Tom Pennington - 2008-06-29
The ALA has agreed to work with Canyon Creek Travel, an American Express partner travel corporation located near Dallas, Texas, as our preferred agency for the 2009 ALA season. Rising airfares and more limited flights require that we offer as much assistance to attendees as possible.
Canyon Creek is a full service travel agency and provides advantages not available to individual travelers, such as group discounts with most airlines and the ability to refund or transfer tickets on some airlines (in case attendees have to cancel). The ALA will have a toll-free travel desk to answer questions or respond to delays, cancellations, or missed flights.
Canyon Creek is the travel service provider for a number of men’s and women’s fraternity groups, so knows the college student market and is experienced with their unique needs. Find more information at the ALA Travel webpage

2009 Session Dates Set
Posted By: Tom Pennington - 2008-06-29
Dates for the 2009 Cabo Leadership Experience have been set. Visit the ALA website for updates during the summer and fall. Our sessions page is
HERE.
Winter Session - January 4-10 (only one session in 2009)
Spring Sessions - March 1-7, March 8-14, March 15-21 & March 22-28
August Session - To Be Determined
Winter/Spring Sessions: Freshmen and Sophomores have priority; Juniors only if they have never attended. Reservation requests will be accepting during the fall, before registration. There will be limits per campus to attendance for most sessions, as space is limited and we cannot accommodate everyone on break each week.
August Session: For those about to begin their senior year. Attendance will be limited to 125 students.
For more information, visit our faculty/attendee website at www.ALACabo.org.
August Session Postponed
Posted By: Tom Pennington - 2008-05-01
The ALA's session for college seniors, scheduled for August 7-10 is postponed until 2009 or later. 2008 gift income was not sufficient to underwrite this additional program. The session will be scheduled when the budget allows or corporate sponsors can be identified.
Passport Now Required for ALA Sessions
Posted By: Tom Pennington - 2007-01-23
All Feb./Mar. attendees MUST have a passport. Applications are available online at the State Department Website at: www.Travel.State.gov or at your local post office. Allow at least 6 weeks for delivery.
For shorter turnover, you may visit a local passport agency, if there is one near you. A list of locations can be found at: http://www.travel.state.gov/passport/about/agencies/agencies_913.html.
